The Bugle is a satirical news podcast created in 2007 by John Oliver (The Daily Show) and comedian Andy Zaltzman. It has remained one of the most popular comedy podcasts in the world.
When we were approached to refresh the brand we wanted to keep the beloved logomark mostly unchanged, it just needed neatening up. Most of the attention had to be paid to the wordmark.
The Bugle is famous for puns and wordplay, but the existing brand lacked any humour. We wanted to inject playfulness and humour into every part of the visual language.
